Kathryn Shay is a lifelong writer. She’s been published since 1995, selling initially to Harlequin Superromance. Her first book, THE FATHER FACTOR, had a print run of a million copies. Kathryn also began writing for The Berkley Publishing Group in the early 2000s. Finally, she ended up in independent publishing. She has ten million books printed, sold in ebooks and downloaded online. With one of those ebooks, AMERICA’S BRAVEST, she made #20 on THE NEW YORK TIMES bestseller list and #50 on the USA TODAY list. Kathryn has written over 70 published novels, novellas and short stories. She’s an original member of LCRW, which began decades ago.
Kathryn is known for her highly emotional and gut-wrenching stories. She’s written about teaching, lawyering, doctoring and politics all centered around contemporary romance. She’s also written several firefighter books, after researching for years with the Rochester Fire Department. She’s ridden in fire trucks, been to actual fires, dinners at the fire houses and some firefighters’ homes and studied at the fire academy with recruit classes. In these books, her weaving in her research into love stories is her trademark.
Kathryn splits her time between Rochester and Sarasota FLA. She and her husband have two children and the most beautiful, precocious granddaughter.
